Open Letter To My Beloved Parents

Mom and Dad, you mean so much to me. I can’t thank you enough for all that you’ve done for me, especially adopting me. I’m aware that you put thought into adopting both Emma and me. You were aware that there were definitely going to be bumps in the road. You both are incredibly strong, and I look up to you and your ways. You inspire me to keep living. Life is rough, really rough sometimes, don’t get me wrong. Mom and Dad, you amaze me every day with how you grow and spread your love and kindness. You are very special, and I’m always talking to people about how much I adore you. You’ve helped influence and shape me into the person I am today, which I can say I’m learning to love more and more every day! Life is not a perfect path; I continue to explore and learn to love my imperfections. I appreciate you loving and accepting who I am. You’ve taught me what unconditional love is. Thank you. I know things are hard right now, and you’re hurting. This is a tough time for all of us, and I’m learning, exploring, and experiencing all that I can ever wish for! It’s definitely not easy at all, but the unconditional love, support, and life you’ve given me make it worth fighting for. Thank you for pushing me to do better and for fighting for me. Thank you for celebrating my small and large victories. Thank you for comforting me when I am weak and need support. Thank you for the experiences you’ve given me that I’ve learned from, gained from, and survived. Thank you for providing me with the necessities, an education, new experiences, lessons, lifelong memories, a loving family, and dogs, of course! You let me test the waters and become curious about the things I’m passionate about. Thank you for letting me follow my dreams. Thank you for letting me become who I am without judgment. Thank you for letting me have a childhood and fun. Thank you for doing what’s best for me, even if it might affect you negatively. Thank you for advocating for my needs and helping me when you yourself are not doing too well. Thank you for being so patient and standing alongside me in my life. You do a lot for me, and words can’t describe how appreciative I am of you both! Thank you for being my Mom and Dad. I love you.
